6] the arc of internet/communication favoring the urbans

7] entertainment as the 'raison d etre'

8] singapore style drop in births?

9] engineered protein

10] the urban gangs- future of "war"

11] the economy/ecology  of scale

12] the techno tricksters hackers and the like

13] all roads lead to Rome- supplies of manufactured goods- robotic factories at the raw material sources , are the robotic ships tamper proof?  super typhoon proof?

14]  archeologists examining our ruins

it being a drought and all.

“Holy shit!” I yelled

So me, my unoriginal expletives and my truck

all slid to a stop.

rise

brilliant.

Long ago in a lover's life

Third grade
Oh God not again!
But...but I have new button shiny
eyes
and I have velvet soft careful
ears...
       and now  a dazed and wounded
heart...
Yet do not imagine we are weak
we third graders
with our doughty selves.
We toss our mittens to the winds
we slush about in stocking feet.
Everything

inside
Bundled snug
toasty
to white hot.
And when my velvet ears hear
and my shiny eyes see
More you
and less me
Do not be so surprised
to be burnt back to third grade
while I carefully place my mittens
on your ashen shadows

I see her tender hair close on her cheeks

near pierced and pewtered ears.

She has lengthened her body

and felined her features

and has the confidence which comes

from watching men watch all that.
